Tracey Anderson, founder of Apple Isle Physiotherapy, is a highly qualified, AHPRA registered and APA Titled Continence and Women’s Health Physiotherapist with 25 years collective experience in treating pregnancy and postnatal pain conditions, lymphoedema and pelvic health conditions.
The commencement of Apple Isle Physiotherapy was driven by a passion for helping women and men improve their quality of life by regaining control of their pelvic health issues and allowing timely access to quality pelvic floor physiotherapy services.
Tracey’s passion for maternity and pelvic health physiotherapy began 20 years ago when working on a maternity ward noting the impact and importance of early postnatal physiotherapy intervention on improving the quality of life during the first weeks and months post delivery and its significant impact on preventing future pelvic floor issues.
Tracey graduated from Northeastern University in Boston with a Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy (High Hons) and shortly thereafter began to develop her advanced women’s and pelvic health physiotherapy skills through many post graduate advanced pelvic health courses including a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Physiotherapy - Continence and Women’s Health and subsequent Masters Degree in Clinical Physiotherapy majoring in Continence and Women’s Health from Curtin University in Perth. During this time, Tracey held a clinical leader role as an advanced pelvic health, maternity and lymphoedema physiotherapist in the public sector working closely with obstetricians/gynaecologists, urologists, colorectal specialists and midwives to achieve best patient outcomes.
In recognition of her advanced training and experience, Tracey has been awarded the Australian Physiotherapy Association title of APA Continence and Women’s Health Physiotherapist and is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association and the Australian College of Physiotherapists.
Her first hand personal experience with childbirth, postnatal recovery, pelvic pain and endometriosis, Tracey has an understanding and empathetic approach to patient care ensuring your comfort and ease throughout your treatments.
Outside the clinic, Tracey is married with 4 grown children and enjoys spending time outdoors on her hobby farm, walking, photography, baking, and reading to keep abreast of current evidence in her field.
